We also travelled to Chile and discovered how creative and entrepreneur are people to catch the raindrops from the fog at the top of the mountains.

PLANET EARTH INTERACTIVE GAME

Playing this game we realized how amazing is our planet and how important it is to take care of all the animals, plants and habitats all over the world.
We played in teams. The winner was the team who put the last jigsaw piece on the planet.

STORYTELLING: LET'S CLEAN THE FOREST

Pupils on 1st and 2nd Grade enjoyed participating in the Story called: "Let's clean the forest"
Foxes, rabbits, deers, moles, squirrels, robins, owls etc... lived happy in the forest. but one day... a group of humans came to have a picnic and left all the rubbish there. The animals were so sad, and worried about that.
Then, the wise owl organized a  meeting in the forest . They decided to work as a team and pick up all the rubbish in a clever way. recycle everything and put it inside the correct bins.
Finally they made signs to inform the Humans that they need to keep the forest and nature clean.

After the story, all the pupils made their own recycling bins.
We enjoyed and learnt a lot together!

LET'S CLEAN UP EUROPE

Let's Clean Up Europe pretends to be the following Action we will do within the programme of the "EWWR".Both countries, Greece and Catalonia will take part and clean different sites but in the same way, the first one on the seaside and the second one on a river shore. We will pick up the waste and separate it in: plastic, paper, glass and trash. After that we will complete a chart in order to analyze the data and take some conclusions and opinions.
Finally we will contact the Media, or the Mayor of our town to tell about our Action and also to suggest a proposal to improve the area which has been cleaned.

Here are some of the results:

COL·LEGI SANT JOSEP, NAVÀS

We cleaned Cal Forcada, a zone near River Llobregat. We had the help of some staff from the Town Hall. We want to thank all of them and specially Susana Ribera, the coordinator of eco-friendly actions in Navàs.
Here is the worksheet with the data:

After that, we analyzed and discussed about the results and the Action we did in Cal Forcada, near river Llobregat.
We decided to write a letter to the mayor, telling him what we did and suggesting him that we would like that  this area was a leasure zone to go to play with friends, go for a walk, a picnic, and enjoy the nature.
This is the letter written to the mayor by the whole class of 5th Grade

He promissed us to replay the letter and to visit us at school soon.
Which will be his answer?

This is our video report about this wonderful and exciting experience!
From now on, we can say: TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A BETTER WORLD!

ENDANGERED ANIMALS

Pupils in Grade 5 worked on a project about endangered animals.
We discovered why they are in danger of extinction: Loss of habitat, global warming, deforestation, pollution and hunting and poaching are the main reasons because many animals are in danger!

What can we do to avoid their extinction?

ECO-CALENDAR 2018

Pupils in Grade 5 have created an eco-calendar for 2018, as our purpose is to make the Earth a better place.
The calendar is part of an eTwinning project called "URRRGENT! europe's knocking at the door"

URRRGENT! EUROPE'S KNOCKING AT THE DOOR

Dear friends,
We are glad to announce you that our project "URRRGENT! Europe's knocking at the door" has been selected as a candidate for the European prize.
Last Wednesday 24th January the Regional TV Canal Taronja came to school to interview the pupils and the teacher.

This is their report:

Europe’s knocking at the door.”
